Also awarded 'Young Scottish Muslim of the Year' by Scotland's first minister Alex Salmond in 2008.

Studied television production at the University of Stirling.

Currently working as TV broadcast journalist in London for
english-language satellite channel, and freelancing as a documentary film maker. Has produced several documentaries for broadcast.

Directs from behind the camera and experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Sony Vegas editing systems.
